We SERIOUSLY doubt that Kathy Griffin will ever again be given her own show, and don’t think that Griffin will have much of a career after her stupid stunt of beheading President Trump.
Before Kathy Griffin held up a fake, decapitated head of President Trump, she was lecturing others on disrespecting the office of the presidency — that is, for Barack Obama, of course.
In this video flashback, Griffin played a clip of the conservative former co-host on The View Elisabeth Hasselbeck talking with then-President Obama during his campaign against Republican Mitt Romney. And for simply addressing the president with a question, Griffin told Hasselbeck to “Take it down a notch, bitch.”
“Right away, with her attitude to the president, who is a Harvard law professor, I’m like, take it down a notch, bitch,” Griffin scolded.
At the time Hasselbeck wasn’t holding a bloody effigy of Obama, just asking how he would govern differently than Romney.
“Like, that body language,” Griffin continued, “I don’t like that.”
“I don’t like Jan Brewer in Arizona going like this [waving finger] to the president on the tarmac. I don’t like that,” Griffin added.
“When I was on The View, Barbara Walters said, ‘You respect the office,’” Griffin recalled.
Five years later, Griffin doesn’t subscribe to Walters’ philosophy any longer.
