Even the racist black cubntbag state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal got into it, and tried to stir up more riots looting and arson by the criminals who terrorized Ferguson over another lie about criminal thug Mike Brown, who got what he deserved.

Maria Chappelle-Nadal should be removed from her state senator position, because she is a stupid racist animal who has no business in a public servant job.

No police would ever point their guns at a 5 month old baby. It just wouldn’t happen, because there is nothing that a 5 month old baby would do that would be threatening to a police officer.

The officer could have given them tickets, and even towed the car away, but instead the police let the racist black dumb-fucks off with a warning. And what thanks do they get? A charge of racism and hostility to babies.

An allegation of children held at gunpoint by St. Louis police, which swept social media and led to a protest this week, was proven false by video from a patrol vehicle’s dashboard camera, Police Chief Sam Dotson said Wednesday.

Dotson revealed the video at a press conference in answer to allegations made on social media, and at a protest outside Police Headquarters, that the officers were improperly aggressive.

“This is a completely different interaction than what was described in the paper,” Dotson said. “There was no hostility on the part of the officers or the occupants inside the car.

“It was very conversational and very professional.”

The video, which shows only part of the scene, appears to depict a routine traffic stop of a car about 5 p.m. Sunday on the parking lot of the Family Dollar store near Cherokee Street and Jefferson Avenue, with cordial conversation and no guns drawn. There were two adults and four children in the vehicle, and no hostility by either side, Dotson said.

Police said the car was stopped because a license check showed the plate did not match the vehicle. The people were sent on their way with no arrest and no tickets.

The controversy may have begun with a Facebook posting at 11:16 p.m. Sunday from a woman named Melissa Bennett who wrote:

Twitter users continued the spread of information:

And other Facebook users:

About 75 people demonstrated outside Police Headquarters on Monday night, blocking Olive Boulevard for about 20 minutes. Some chanted, “Black babies matter!” and placed baby dolls in the street.

Dotson said Wednesday, “This shows the vulnerability society has to social media, when an individual who may or may not be involved in an encounter casts a narrative that can’t be vetted and there’s no accountability. This story is out there and it’s been retweeted thousands of times, when factually we investigate it, there is no substance to the allegations at all.

“The people who were actually involved know the truth,” he said. “Nobody made a complaint, because there was nothing to complain about.”

Although no one filed a formal complaint against the officers, the department had what Dotson described as “an obligation” to piece together what happened.

People in the crowd Monday at Police Headquarters told the Post-Dispatch the traffic stop occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday. Based on that, the department could find no record of it. Later, officials determined the stop was about three hours earlier — and recorded from a patrol vehicle. Investigators continued to seek surveillance video from nearby businesses and witness statements.

The dash cam video shows small talk between two officers and a family on their way to church. Police made casual conversation with the driver, a man, 19, about the college he attends and gave him verbal warnings about the license violation and driving with a child not properly restrained, Dotson said.

Investigators met with the family Wednesday to discuss the video. Dotson said during the press conference that the family denied having made the allegations and blamed those on social media for making the incorrect characterizations.

Melissa Bennett, who made a Facebook posting alleging excessive force, declined to comment to a reporter Wednesday, but took to Facebook and wrote, “This is my family’s statement regarding the hostile stop on Sunday. The video that has been released has no clear audio, and no clear shot of the car in question. It only supports my family’s narrative…Please share my family’s statement and retweet. My family is b (sic) under attack.”

Bennett identified herself as a spokeswoman for the family during the protest Monday in front of police headquarters, and referred to the children as her niece and nephew in social media posts.

The allegations against police resonated all the way to the Missouri Capitol, where state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, complained about it Monday to the Senate Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee. She cited it in trying to build support for her bill to strengthen the racial profiling law.

Chappelle-Nadal said Wednesday that the video that police released doesn’t show the entire encounter, because the second officer cannot be seen. She also said those on social media have said there were three adults in the car, not two as police reported.

“There are still things that don’t jibe,” she said. “We only see one part of what happened at the scene.”

Kevin Ahlbrand, president of the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police, also testified at the hearing, saying there was no evidence of such an incident. Ahlbrand is a St. Louis police sergeant.

Chappelle-Nadal reacted on Twitter:

The hashtag #Ethan began as a way to tie together social media posts about the incident because the toddler allegedly held at gunpoint is named Ethan.

“It’s alarming that a state senator would rely on social media for factual information,” Ahlbrand said.

Chappelle-Nadal, who is challenging U.S. Rep. William Lacy Clay in the Aug. 2 Democratic Missouri primary, accused Ahlbrand of “huffing and puffing” in the back of the room before he testified.

“He already had a chip on his shoulders at that point,” she said, and added that she only reported on Twitter what Ahlbrand said in the meeting, which was that there was no incident.

Ahlbrand likely will testify on a bill pending in the Legislature, filed by state Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, which would require police on patrol in Missouri’s five largest cities, including St. Louis, to wear body cameras.

Dotson said the accusations against police in the Sunday episode illustrates the need for additional dashboard and body cameras. The department currently has about 100 cameras, enough for only about a third of its patrol fleet. Body cameras are being tested in a pilot program on about 30 sergeants.

“This shouldn’t make any police officer doubt the importance of body cameras,” he said. “This is why I believe cameras, by in large, support the good work that police officers do.”
