National Renewable Energy Lab: Another $1 Billion Green Jobs Failure for Obama

Obama’s Green Jobs scam and failures takes another hit when the “National Renewable Energy Lab” who received about $1 billion in government funding, and started receiving a 64 percent increase in their funding during the Obama administration, just announced a plan to lay off about 10 percent of its staff. So much for Obama’s Green Energy Jobs…

“Their funding for 2008 was $328 million, In 2010 it was $536.5 million. They’ve had a 64 percent increase in their funding during the Obama administration.”

President Barack Obama’s “green jobs” initiatives suffered another major blow late Monday, as the nonprofit National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado, announced a plan to lay off roughly 10 percent of its staff through a voluntary buy-out plan.

According to the Denver Post, the lab plans to eliminate between 100 and 150 of its 1,350 jobs. The Obama administration supported the NREL in 2009 with roughly $200 million in stimulus grants. Energy Secretary Stephen Chu visited Golden in May 2009 to promote the NREL as a beneficiary of those funds.

Federal Judge Upholds Majority of New Alabama Immigration Law

A Birmingham federal judge delt a damaging blow to the Obama administration and it’s Department of Justice today, as the federal judge upheld most of the new, tough, Alabama immigration law, which the Obama administration has filed a lawsuit to stop.

What kind of “president” would sue a state for wanting to enforce our nation’s laws, and stop illegal immigrants from entering our country, when Obama and the federal government would do nothing, other than make speeches, attack conservatives, and file lawsuits against anyone wanting to enforce the law. Obama doesn’t care about our nation’s laws.. All Obama cares about are his aspirations of transferring America into a Socialistic nation.

A Birmingham federal judge today upheld most sections of Alabama’s tough new immigration law. U.S. District Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn ruled on a U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit seeking to block the law.

Blackburn upheld a provision of the state law related to police stops and detentions of people suspected of being in the country illegally.

Obama Admin Ignored Warnings of Solyndra Problems BEFORE Payment of Loan

Now we learn that Obama was actually warned about the problems with the now bankrupt solar-panel company, Solyndra, BEFORE the $500 million loan was handed out!!

Obama chose to ignore the warnings though, and push through the loan, as a thank you payback to his major supporters, who were shareholders and executives in the failed solar-panel company.

Solyndra’s loan application was filed during President Bush’s term, but the Solyndra loan was denied by the Bush administration less than two weeks before Bush left office on January 9, 2009. Obamacare Allows Government To Collect Health Records of Every American

Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are demanding that insurance companies submit detailed health care information about their patients to a national database.

So Obamacare will allow the government to keep a National Government Health Care Records Database containing an exhaustive copy of everyone’s health records?

No Thanks!! I don’t want my information to be systematically stored in some national government database – for God know what purpose, and I definitely don’t need Kathleen Shemaleius and the Obama administration meddling with my health care records, or putting up more red tape between me and my health care needs.

Obama Administration Hides From Truth, Locks Up Damaging Solyndra Evidence

Something tells me that Eric Holder would not have allowed the investigation of Obama’s pet company Solyndra, if there was any chance that it could put more heat on Obama.

It seems a lot more likely that the Obama administration spurred on the Solyndra investigation because they know by doing so, they lock up the files and any other damaging information until they decide to release the information. This effectively hides all evidence of crimes and corruption by the Obama administration, and if my guess is right, the FBI will release their investigation report in the days after the next election.

So let’s get this straight. This is different than the very similar story of Evergreen Solar Inc, which also received millions of dollars from the Obama administration, before going bankrupt.

The Obama administration guaranteed a another failing company, Solyndra solar panel company, $535 million government backed loan, which seems more like a reward for the donations Steve Westley gave to the Obama campaign. The company then declares bankruptcy, lays off 1,100 employees, and bilks the U.S. People out of a half a billion dollars of taxpayer money. Then Obama goes off the deep end and names the donor, Steve Westley, to the President’s Energy Advisory Board.

This stinks like more corruption of the worst kind from the Obama administration.

Obama’s Failed “Stimulus” Didn’t Create Jobs – Only Stole Jobs From Other Companies

We can now see that the Obama administration and Democrats have been lying about Obama’s wealth-spreading “Stimulus” creating jobs, when in reality, Obama’s failed job-killing, wealth-spreading “stimulus” didn’t actually create jobs for the unemployed. The “stimulus” only stole workers from other companies where they were already employed.

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University has just released an important new study on the hiring practices of firms that used stimulus funds. It’s fairly comprehensive, based on over 1,300 surveys of managers and employees. There’s been very little good empirical data on the stimulus thus far, so the study contains a lot of valuable insights. Among the findings by authors Dan Rothschild and Garrett Jones:

Hiring isn’t the same as net job creation. In our survey, just 42.1 percent of the workers hired at ARRA-receiving organizations after January 31, 2009, were unemployed at the time they were hired (Appendix C).
