Disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner’s chronic sexting has finally caught up with him. On Friday, the New York Democrat pleaded guilty to a federal charge of sending sexually explicit images to a teenage girl. He will be sentenced on September 8, and faces between 21 and 27 months in prison and will have to register as a sex offender. Weiner also relinquished his iPhone to the court.

This plea deal brokered by Weiner’s lawyers allowed him to skirt charges of child pornography for demanding sexual images from a girl he knew was only 15 years old. After at least six years of sexting with adult women (that we know of), this incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back. His wife and top aide to Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin, has filed for divorce. The pair became embroiled in the Clinton e-mail scandal as classified messages were found on Weiner’s laptop that had been forwarded to him from Abedin.
