I highly doubt that “scheduling conflicts” were the real reason why Tom Cruise declined to attend the Kennedy Center awards ceremony. I have a feeling that the decision was made to not alienate the liberals and democrats to his work.

Personally, I hate when stars or athletes reject invitations from the President of the United States – no matter what the invite – but I also see the other side of the equation, where even being civil to President Trump would ruin someone’s career, and Cruise is probably just as concerned for everyone who relies on his acting for their paychecks, and doesn’t want to screw them as well.

OR, Tom Cruise could just be another shit-eating liberal who’s making the decision because he doesn’t like President Trump, and doesn’t want to be seen associating with him. ,

Even with all of that consideration, I also think that rejecting President Trump’s offer will actually end up harming Ton Cruise’s career in the long run because many conservatives will not try and see things his way, and will start hating on Tom and his work. Also, conservatives are the people who have jobs, and can actually pay to go see movies, while democrats are outstanding on street corners with signs displaying their out-of-control Trump Derangement Syndrome.
