The weakest man in the senate, John McCain, says that former Defense Secretary Robert Gates should have waited until Obama was out of office before releasing his new book, Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War, which includes a lot of his personal feelings about Obama, and how, in his view, Obama was doing at his job as president.

Gates questions the passion for our military that a president should have, saying ‘In my presence, Bush — very unlike his father — was pretty unsentimental. But he was passionate about the war in Iraq; on occasion, at a Medal of Honor ceremony or the like, I would see his eyes well up. I worked for Obama longer than Bush, and I never saw his eyes well up.’

Gates is also very critical of Vice President Joe Biden, saying that Joe Biden has been “wrong on nearly every major foreign-policy and national-security issue over the past four decades”
