UPDATE: POWER-CORRUPTED COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES ARREST BLIND MAN AFTER MISTAKING WALKING CANE FOR GUN

UPDATE: Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter made a statement about this viral video and situation where his officers trashed the rights of a disabled vet, where he says “I do not feel these deputies’ actions were guided by ill intent, but rather by frustration and failure to rely on their training.” And the dirty officers were basically only suspended for 2 days!

We do not agree with Sheriff Mark Hunter for his reasoning for this very light slap on the wrist. This definitely WAS ill intent! These two officers, Sgt. Randy Harrison and Deputy Jayme Gohde, KNEW what they were doing was wrong, and only tool the interaction the way they did because they were butt-hurt by someone who knew his rights, and thought they would never get questioned on the abuse of a citizen. If I had to guess, I bet this has happened a lot with those two “officers”.

IF Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter really is “deeply sad” about the negative impact that this event has had on his
agency, maybe he should actually punish the dirty, power-hungry, “officers” that brought the problems to the agency! I think ONLY THAT would show that they are taking this seriously and stop some of the anger.

If these are the best “officers” that the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office can get, I feel very scared for the citizens of Columbia County! Don’t worry though because the two dirty officers have now had a couple days off and some additional training… HA!

Hodges’ attorney John Phillips is now also requesting a full federal investigation into the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, saying “Look, police protect us and we depend on police to do a hero’s job. But when they are poorly trained, when they abuse their power, it is the biggest breach of trust that our society has.”

——————–
Two Columbia County Sheriff’s officers , Sgt. Randy Harrison and Deputy Jayme Gohde, made a mistake when they saw a man walking down the street with what they thought was a gun in his back pocket. The corrupt “officers” stopped the man and he showed the corrupt “officers” that what they thought was a gun was a folded up cane used by sight-impaired people.

After realizing that the man was not carrying a gun, the stupid and corrupt female officer continued to act as a tyrant, and insisted to see identification, which the man did not want to show for no reason, except the demands of a corrupt power-hungry shank bitch, who has no authority to see it unless he is suspected of a crime.

The corrupt piece of shit bull-dyke Columbia County Sheriff’s officer even called the citizen a “dick” AND THEN admitted that she is a tyrant, who apparently abuses the rights of US citizens on a regular basis. That’s all you need to know about that stupid fucking skank. Remove the bitch and her supervisor now, and there also needs to be a full review all of the cases that these two criminally-corrupt Columbia County Sheriff’s officers have been involved with.

James Hodges: “Are you a tyrant?”
Female Officer: “Yea, I am, actually.”

The doughboy “supervisor” even backed-up the corrupt actions of the female “officer”.

Apparently bruising the egos of corrupt Columbia County Sheriff’s officers for not banding over and taking it in the ass for no reason is now a crime in Columbia County.

They need to immediately release the names of the piece of shit corrupt Columbia County officers involved in this crime against the citizen.

BOTH OF THESE POWER-CORRUPTED ASSHOLE SO-CALLED “POLICE OFFICERS” NEED TO LOSE THEIR JOBS & CERTIFICATIONS IMMEDIATELY!

I can’t wait to see the settlement in this case. It’s definitely going to cost Columbia County a pretty penny for the abuse by these two corrupt “officers”.

An arrest made by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is going viral.

In the body camera video, attached to this story and embedded below, a deputy stops a visually-impaired man, identified as James Hodges, who had a cane in his back pocket.

The deputy asks Hodges what’s in his back pocket.

“Hi there. What’s this in your back pocket? I just saw you walking,” the deputy says.

“It’s a navigational aid,” Hodges responds. “What’s the problem? You’re a tyrant?”

“Yeah, I am, actually,” the deputy says.

The deputy then asks Hodges for his name and date of birth.

Hodges responds that he doesn’t have to give that information unless the officer has reasonable cause.

“Do you want me to put you in handcuffs right now?” the officer asks.

“What is your suspicion?” Hodges asks.

“It looked like you were carrying a gun in your back pocket. I’m stopping to make sure you’re carrying it properly,” the deputy says.

Hodges takes the cane out of his pocket, showing it to the deputy. He asks her: “Am I being detained?”

She says that Hodges is being detained and asks him for his ID again. He asks to see her supervisor, and she directs him to another officer standing nearby.

Hodges shows the cane to the other deputy, who says that he agrees it could look like a firearm.

“Her suspicion was that you were armed,” the other deputy says.

“But now she’s verified that I am not armed,” Hodges says. He is again asked for his ID and refuses to give it.

The deputies then handcuff him and ask where his driver’s license is, and take his driver license out of his pocket.

“Sir, are you legally blind?” one of the arresting officers asks. Hodges says he is.

“I had to walk up here in the dark for jury duty, which was canceled,” Hodges said.

“Why weren’t you using your stick? You don’t have to use your stick all the time?” asks the officer.

“Not all the time,” Hodges responds.

When he asks the female officer who originally arrested him for her badge number, an officer offscreen says, “You know what? Put him in jail for resisting.”

The female officer then loads Hodges into a squad car and the video ends.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said they are looking into this arrest, posting a statement on Facebook that reads:

“We are aware of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office body camera video involving the arrest of Mr. James Hodges on October 31, 2022. Sheriff Hunter is troubled by what he has seen in the video and the matter is being addressed. An administrative investigation was initiated on November 3, 2022 when the incident was brought to our attention. If policy violations are sustained at the conclusion of that investigation, appropriate action will be taken. While we understand the frustration and concern associated with this event, please know we are working to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.”

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has declined to further comment on the issue or release the full body camera video to the public.
