Floundering NFL Dickheads Try Luring Back Pissed-Off Fans By Rebooting Back Hank Williams Jr Opening

The NFL sucks major dicks, and everyone knows it.. Even the NFL knows how bad they suck assholes, and in a feeble attempt to try and bring back some of their former NFL fans, the ESPN and the NFL will be bringing back the Hank Williams Jr Monday Night Football opening, after dropping Hank about 6 years ago.

Too bad for the NFL that, while it is probably a good idea to bring back Hank Williams Jr, it will have no effect on the NFL’s horrible viewership, as NFL fans have abandon the corrupt mismanaged football league in droves, and there is little to no hope for getting us back.

One thing that may help start bringing back some fans would be to get rid of the piece of shit douchebag NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, who is too fucking stupid to run the NFL – but even that won’t be enough to win back all of the NFL fans who have sworn off the NFL and will most likely never again spend a penny of their money or a second of their time on the NFL.

Are you ready for some backpedaling?

In an extremely desperate attempt to regain viewers, especially those in flyover country, ESPN is bringing back country music legend Hank Williams, Jr. to Monday Night Football.

“After six years, Hank and all his rowdy friends are back on Monday night,” an exuberant ESPN Twitter announcement states.

The network said bringing back Williams’ song is a “return to our past.”

What ESPN fails to realize is that the same viewers it has alienated with extreme leftist politics don’t easily forget. Like that time the “sports” network pulled Williams’ “Are You Ready for some Football?” theme song back in 2011 for his “disappointing” comments about then-President Barack Obama.

Williams joked on Fox and Friends that Obama and then-House Speaker John Boehner golfing together was “like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu.” ESPN did not like that at all, and released this statement:

“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

And somehow they think bringing Bocephus back is going to be water under the bridge? This just shows how out of touch with viewers ESPN really is.

After he was kicked off Monday Night Football, Williams released a new single he offered as a free download called Keep the Change, which bashed both Fox and Friends and ESPN, as well as the “United Socialist States of America” under Obama. But apparently, he’s pretty excited to be back on the network that shunned him:

“I never said, ‘Are you ready for some football’ on stage one time the last five or six years, but I will now,” Williams told The Tennessean during a break filming the new commercial. “I’m feeling at home and it’s a real good thing … It’s kind of like the Nashville Predators playing for the Stanley Cup, it’s like ‘Wow.’”

ESPN senior VP Stephanie Duley said:

“I think it’s a return to our past in that it’s such an iconic song associated with football. It was the original. It belongs to Monday Night Football. It really is about returning to what fans know. It’s a Monday night party and that’s what we’re all hoping to get back to.”
