Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis says she aborted her baby daughter many years ago “out of love.”
In an interview with Mic reporter Elizabeth Plank Tuesday, Davis opened up about her past abortion, calling it the most compassionate thing she could have done for her baby daughter, while skewering anyone who would deprive her of that choice as “disgusting.”
“I’ve had an abortion,” Davis says. “I faced a very difficult choice in a pregnancy that was much-wanted, post-20 weeks, when I discovered that my daughter was suffering from an irreparable and non-life sustaining brain deformation – or malformation – and it was one of the most heart-wrenching decisions I’ve ever had to make.”
“And I made my decision out of love,” she concluded.
“The idea that a politician would step into that decision for me and displace my ability to do, out of love, what I knew was right for a daughter that I wanted very much is not only insulting, it’s disgusting,” Davis said.
Davis has walked this line before regarding her past abortion, referring to it multiple times as a compassionate choice.
Last September, Good Morning America gave her a pedestal to spout her abortion propaganda and used the exact same talking points employed with Elizabeth Plank in reference to her abortion.
