Dirty cops, like Officer Patrick Dickerson of the Laurel Mississippi Police Department, who have no problem lying under oath, even when the truth on video is much different, are a cancer on society who need to be weeded out as soon as their dirt is revealed!

In trial, Officer Patrick Dickerson testified, under oath, that Stevens:
- Continuously screamed profanities at him (e.g., “f*ck you, it’s a public road”).
- Locked her doors.
- Refused to exit the vehicle for over two minutes.
- Physically resisted handcuffing by jerking her arm away.
Bodycam footage showed the opposite:
- No profanity or screaming.
- Door was already open / she complied quickly (within ~10 seconds).
- Full cooperation during handcuffing.
- No resistance.
The judge dismissed all charges against Stevens after the contradictions were shown.
Stevens filed a federal civil rights lawsuit (Stevens v. Dickerson et al., 2024) against Dickerson, other officers, the chief, and the City of Laurel for false arrest, unlawful detention, and related claims and Laurel Mississippi settled the case for an undisclosed amount around October 2024. Despite the perjury exposure, reports indicate no disciplinary action was taken against Dickerson at the time and Dickerson remained on the Laurel Mississippi police force.
