Unpunished Cheater Houston Astros Players Apologize For Tainting MLB Baseball – But Not Good Enough

A couple of the Houston Astros’ cheaters apparently apologized for their team’s cheating “in 2017” but haven’t admitted to their cheating in 2018 or 2019, and are still lying about the use of electronic devices in the Astros Sign Stealing Scandal. They are basically still denying their 2018 cheating.

One of the worst cheaters, apparently, Jose Altuve, says “the whole Astros organization and the team feels bad about what happened in 2017.” but that’s complete crap. The Astros feel bad that they got caught. If they really did feel bad they would come clean about every aspect of their cheating for years, and then take the punishment that they deserve.

Astros owner Jim Crane says that the cheating will never happen again on his watch, but that’s bullshit. He doesn’t know what his team is doing behind the scenes to cheat, and I’m sure the Astros aren’t going to stop cheating. They’ll just get better at not getting caught.

Why shouldn’t the players, who were the ones who actually enacted the cheating regimen, be punished for whay they did? Why should just the coaches face punishment for the cheating that ultimately benefited the players? That’s total crap! Sure they didn’t receuive proper “guidance from their leaders” but these players are grown fucking men, who know the difference between right and wrong – AND KNEW THEY WERE CHEATING FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS!!!

Alex Bregman said that he would like to regain the trust of baseball fans, but the only way to do that is to tell the fucking truth and take your fucking medicine, and this type of cheating will be allowed to continue because the players know that they won’t be punished for their cheating – even after being busted red handed.

Houston Astros Jose Altuve speaks to the media as he and Alex Bregman addressed the sign-stealing scandal during a press conference before the start of the first day of the Houston Astros spring training camp at the Fitteam Ballpark of The Palm Beaches, in West Palm Beach, Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020.Browse through the photos above for a look at what current and former Astros players have had to say before Thursday.

Astros players issued their first public apology after being involved in a cheating scandal that rocked baseball in the offseason.

“I am really sorry about the choices that were made by my team by the organization and by me,” Astros third baseman Alex Bregman said in a press conference at the team’s spring training facility in West Palm Beach, Fla. “I have learned from this and I hope to regain the trust of baseball fans. I would also like to thank the Astros fans for all of their support. We as a team are totally focused on moving forward to the 2020 season. Thank you.”

Astros stars Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve issued their first public apology Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, for their roles in the team’s 2017 sign-stealing operation.

Jose Altuve issued a similar apology, saying the team held a productive meeting Wednesday and, “the whole Astros organization and the team feels bad about what happened in 2017.”

Major League Baseball found the Astros to have used a live camera in center field and dugout monitors to steal signs in real time and relay those signs to the batter during the team’s 2017 World Series season. The investigation also found the Astros used the system for at least part of the 2018 season.

“I want to say again how sorry our team is for what happened,” Astros owner Jim Crane said. “I want to repeat this will never happen again on my watch.”
