Chicago Restaurant Fires All Workers After Fast Food Workers Strike Closes Store for 4 Days

After the “Fast Food Workers Strikes”, which closed the doors of many restaurants for days, the owners of Chicago’s Snarf’s Sandwiches went ahead and fired all of their employees for a reported “remodeling and reconcepting” of the store, and told the employees that they “may apply for unemployment, if eligible”.

Ha Ha!! Love it! More restaurants need to do this, and show their employees that the companies will not be bullied by highschool drop-out employees, who feel entitled to more money per hour than they will ever be worth without an education.

Remember when unions organized nation wide strikes at fast food joints in America? Snarf’s employees participated in that and closed the restaurant for four days. They received this email right before Christmas:

  1. Due to increased competition and losses, ownership has decided to consider remodeling and reconcepting the store at 600 West Chicago Ave.
  2. The store is closing, effective tomorrow, December 23, 2013 for an unknown period of time for this remodeling and reconcepting.
