Black University of Minnesota Student Wants Race Left Out of School Crime Alerts
A University of Minnesota student is unhappy that school crime alerts include the racial description of a suspect.
It would be one thing if just a small percentage of the crime was committed by Black people, and other crimes were mistakenly being pinned on black people, but the truth is that a lot of the crime is being perpetrated by Black people.
We are sorry that innocent Black people have to hear about other people in their race who are committing crime, but at least they will also report when it was a white suspect. For the safety of their students, the University of Minnesota should definitely continue giving racial descriptions in school crime alerts.
It looks like the Vice President of University Services, Pamela Wheelock, is pushing back though. Good job!
