These types of crimes and criminals are common place, and even considered tame, for the Democrat Party, which is packed full to the brim with criminals. Just look at the Obama administration, which is filled, from top to bottom, with the worst kind of criminals.
My guess is that all Democrats will still vote for the possible criminal, even if he is found guilty, because Democrats are used to being surrounded by criminals.
