So much for America not negotiating with terrorists… Obama blew that to hell, as he has done with every other good part of the United States, by once again paying terrorists for the release of hostages.
Stupid & Corrupt Obama, Democrats Pay Iran $400 Million In Cash to Release 4 American Hostages
Obama has become the first US President to negotiate with terrorists, after decades of adhering to the policy against dealing with terrorists in that way, by handing over the first installment of $400 million to Iran, in exchange for 4 American hostages they held. And now the Obama administration refuses to give the American People the details of their ransom payments to Iran.
The payment was even transferred to Iran in a secret unmarked airplane to try and throw off the American People.
Terrorist friendly Obama plans on giving Iran the rest of the $1.7 billion sometime in the near future, which will promptly be used to buy weapons and technology to be used against the United States.
The Obama administration even admitted that they are aware that the $400 million given to Iran terrorists will be used for terrorist activities and recruitment, but obviously don’t care how many Americans die due to the Obama administration’s weakness and support of terrorists.
“We know that Iran supports Hezbollah and the Assad regime, and it certainly is possible that some of the money Iran has is being used for those purposes too.” – White House press secretary Josh Earnest
We all know that Obama protects and supports terrorists, but now Obama knowingly funds terrorists as well, while putting many more American lives in danger!
Even Ted Cruz has called out the Obama administration for their support of terrorists.
“It is nothing but a series of bribes and secret agreements that will do nothing to prevent Iran from reaching nuclear capability, yet will provide funding for their sponsorship of terrorism and encourage them to detain more of our citizens. This ‘deal’ should be ripped to shreds immediately before more damage is done,” – Ted Cruz
Soon the American public will understand the extent of the damage that Obama and the Democrats are doing to our nation, and start holding Obama and the Democrats accountable for their all-out support for criminals and terrorists, instead of supporting law-abiding American citizens.
Seemingly violating the claim that America doesn’t negotiate with terrorists and hostage takers, reports have revealed that the Obama administration organized an airlift to transport $400 million in cash to Tehran which coincided with the January release of four Americans taken prisoner by Iran.
Reports say wooden pallets stacked with a variety of currencies were loaded onto an unmarked cargo plane and flown to Iran. American officials procured the money from banks in Switzerland and the Netherlands, according to the The Wall Street Journal report.
The money was purportedly only the first installment of a $1.7 billion deal the Obama administration reached with Iran over an arms deal brokered with the Shah of Iran just before the Mullah’s took over in 1979.
But the payments also came just as Iran was releasing Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, former U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati, Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, and Nosratollah Khosravi-Roodsari in January of this year.
Iranian news sources reported at the time that the prisoners were released in a “prisoner swap” brokered by the Obama administration.
The administration returned seven Iranian prisoners in exchange for the release of the Americans. Obama also dropped extradition proceedings against another 14 Iranians as part of the deal.
Not only did the administration return seven Iranians but it was said the Obama also agreed to drop U.S. sanctions against Iran as the nuclear deal was being crafted. It was felt that the prisoner release was meant to keep Republicans from criticizing Obama’s nuclear deal.
Republicans, though, felt at the time that the deal was lopsided in favor of the Mullahs.
However, no mention was made of the secret transfer of $400 million in cash to Iran until now.
The Obama administration has now denied that the amazing amount of cash had anything to do with the hostage release agreement.
“As we’ve made clear, the negotiations over the settlement of an outstanding claim … were completely separate from the discussions about returning our American citizens home,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told the Journal. “Not only were the two negotiations separate, they were conducted by different teams on each side, including, in the case of The Hague claims, by technical experts involved in these negotiations for many years.”
Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton criticized the revelations accusing Obama of paying a “ransom to the ayatollahs for U.S. hostages.”
