After being alerted to a shocking depiction of President Trump’s bloody severed head on a spike on a Kent State building, stupid douchebag Eric Mansfield, Kent State Assistant Vice President of Content Strategy and Communications, posted that the violent depiction would stay up, calling it “art” and that terroristic threats against the President of the United States is somehow considered protected speech. Sounds to me like Eric Mansfield is a dangerous leftist who needs to be removed, and Kent State should loose all of their federal funding!
Someone should test the policies of Kent State by putting a similar image of a leftist icon’s bloody severed head on a pike and see if Kent State and leftist dumbfuck Eric Mansfield protect the display the same way. My bet is that it would be taken down by Kent State immediately.
Then again… Kent State seems to have always been a dangerous place to be.
In 1964, 25 Kent State students engaging in peaceful protesting of the Vietnam war were shot by hostile students with pellet guns and assaulted.
On May 4, 1970, 28 Ohio National Guard soldiers opened fire on a crowd of unarmed students protesting at Kent State University, the killers fired about 67 rounds over 13 seconds, resulting in the deaths of four students and injuries to nine others.
Personally, I would never send my kids to Kent State with idiots like Eric Mansfield in control of what violent political depictions will be tolerated.
An image of Trump’s head impaled on a pike with the message “We only have to get lucky once,” was displayed in a window of the Visual Arts Building. The display was first reported by WHK-AM talk radio host Bob Frantz.
Kent State initially stood by the display. Frantz posted an image of an email from the university stating the art display was part of a student’s “art thesis” and was protected by the Constitution and Ohio law, and would not be taken down
