HAHA!! Gavin Newsom killed the film industry in California. After more than doubling his tax incentives from $330 million to $750 million in July of last year, when compared to 2024, California still saw a 20-percent decrease in local production during the fourth quarter of 2025. Despite Newsom tax incentives California is now losing over $1B per year to rival states for film and TV production.

We have read that, out of the $750 million in subsidies for Hollywood, that the Chairman of Netflix, Reed Hastings, got at least $70 million of that money.
