Obama got involved in the Zimmerman case from the very beginning, with his comments and especially his ‘If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon’ comment.
Obama has commented again since the not guilty verdict by saying that we should honor Trayvon Martin with gun control.
“I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities,” Obama said in a statement on Sunday.
“We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.”
What about the multiple killings that happen every night in Chicago, but don’t get the attention of Obama, the DOJ, or even really investigated at all by the police?
Now that the Zimmerman criminal case is over, the continued railroading of Zimmerman by the DOJ is more of an attack on gun rights at this point, and was probably supposed to be their first step to try and undo Florida gun rights laws.
- They prosecution accused Zimmerman, with no evidence whatsoever, with 2nd degree murder, and couldn’t prove their case.
- When it was apparent that they would lose the 2nd degree murder case, the prosecution slipped manslaughter in as a lesser charge at the last minute to try and trick jurors into putting Zimmerman in Prison for a long time – but the jury didn’t feel that Zimmerman was guilty of manslaughter either.
- So the prosecution’s only fallback now is to use their friends at the DOJ to start a civil rights case against Zimmerman, and it looks like that’s exactly what they are doing.
Obama’s ultra-corrupt Justice Department says they will again start looking into the Zimmerman case as a possible civil rights case. (which is complete bullshit) Eric Holder belongs in prison, not deciding what US citizens to continue railroading because of pressure from racists in the black community out for Zimmerman’s blood.
In a statement Sunday, the Justice Department said the criminal section of the civil rights division, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Middle District of Florida are continuing to evaluate the evidence generated during the federal probe, in addition to the evidence and testimony from the state trial.
The statement said that, in the government’s words, “experienced federal prosecutors will determine whether the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation.”
Corrupt liberal scumbag Harry Reid says “This isn’t over” and that they will continue going after Zimmerman.
On Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) asked for the Justice Department to prosecute George Zimmerman, who was acquitted Saturday night in the killing of Trayvon Martin. “I think the Justice Department is going to take a look at this,” Reid told NBC’s Meet the Press. “This isn’t over with and I think that’s good. That’s our system, it’s gotten better, not worse.”
Reid did acknowledge the verdict, stating, “I am a trial lawyer and have [brought] over 100 cases to a jury. I don’t always agree with what the jury does but that’s the system and I support the system.”
