Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Treasury Says 23andMe Shares Customer’s Data With Foreign ‘Pharmaceutical Companies’

Bad news for people who have sent their DNA to 23andMe! A Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Treasury, named Nathaniel Johnson, is caught on hidden video saying that 23andMe is sharing their customer’s DNA data with “pharmaceutical companies”, including “the Ministry of Defense of Russia.” So in other words, 23andMe may be sharing people’s DNA information with foreign governments that control those “pharmaceutical companies”.

People need to read the fine print about what they are signing, because I’m sure everyone who used 23andMe gave up their privacy when they agreed to use the service.
