The Earth doesn’t belong to any person or group of people, and never will. Every land mass on Earth has also been conquered multiple times, throughout history, by other groups of people, so nobody truly owns any piece of land in perpetuity, and anyone who considers themselves to be “owners” of a continent are truly some of the dumbest people on the face of the Earth.

If the people living there are strong enough, they will fight off the other groups who want to take the land, but just because you live on a piece of land in the past doesn’t assure you that the land will be yours forever.
