NO, INTEREST IN PGA HAS NOT DECREASED – PEOPLE JUST WATCH TV DIFFERENTLY WITH LESS LIVE OPTIONS

The public’s interest in PGA golf has not decreased, as people pushing for the PGA-LIV merger will tell you. This is just a disingenuous way to try and pressure people into helping the LIV players undo some of the damage they have all done to their lost golf legacies, by allowing them back into PGA events.

NO, INTEREST IN PGA HAS NOT DECREASED – PEOPLE JUST WATCH TV DIFFERENTLY WITH LESS OPTIONS

“It needs to happen fast. It’s not a two-year thing. Like it needs to happen quicker rather than later just for the good of the sport. Too many people are losing interest.” – Former PGA Player Bryson DeChambeau

I agree that many people are losing interest in LIV and LIV golfers, but the sport of Golf is at it’s all-time height in popularity. LIV is a bunch of washed up dudes and a few top 100 players. Bryson DeChambeau is LIV Golf’s best player, who still had a long career on the PGA ahead of him before the move, and DeChambeau has obviously realized that his ultimate legacy in golf will be negative or non-existent due to his move to LIV – something that he really doesn’t want to happen – so yea, of course many of the LIV idiots want to join forces. They just don’t want to lose the LIV blood-money.

When I had Direct TV, I watched live golf at every possible opportunity, but we have since dropped the Direct TV service and started streaming exclusively. Unfortunately, streaming services do not offer any options to watch live golf without paying an arm and a leg to subscribe to some additional service. This alone accounts for any drop in viewership.

I’m sure it is correct that when they look at the numbers for viewers of PGA golf events, the numbers in viewership have gone down, and in the past they could corelate that to less people being interested, but that is no longer the case. The interest in golf has not decreased at all. That is false. In fact the public’s interest in golf has INCREASED, but what has changed is the way that people watch TV.

There are no free live golf viewing options. The options that we have to watch golf, while streaming for free, are all older tournaments – but I bet many people still watch all of the old tournaments like I do, because it’s all they can get.

Many people around the world have ditched their traditional television services and have gone to streaming. This accounts for the drop in golf viewership. Nobody gives a shit about LIV, or the faux controversy surrounding the split and supposed merger between LIV and the PGA. In fact, most people are happy to see idiots like Sergio García and Patrick Reed leave the PGA, and I can tell you that they have not been missed.

The PGA always has a constant stream of new exciting players entering the mix, so you often see new people up on the leaderboard, while LIV is as stale as can be, consisting of mostly washed-up players, cry babies and cheaters in their ranks.

If they really want to fix it, the PGA needs to start providing options to stream live events, without having to subscribe to something, and they will see that the interest in golf has only increased.
