The NHL is considering suspending the Blackhawks Winger Andrew Shaw, after Shaw flipped off the referees, multiple times, with both hands, and then yells, “Fuck You, Fucking Faggot” at the referees from the penalty box. The whole thing was caught on video for your viewing pleasure.

We think that Andrew Shaw should be suspended for at least one game for his conduct in last night’s game, but with the way that the NHL is helping the Blackhawks we won’t be holding our breath.

Andrew Shaw should just be grateful for all of the help that the NHL and the NHL referees have given the Blackhawks in this series.

I know my words were hurtful and I will learn from my mistake.”

NHL Suspends Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw For One Game After Gay Slur

Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw has been suspended one game and ordered to undergo sensitivity training after uttering an anti-gay slur from the penalty box to someone on the ice in Chicago’s Game 4 loss at home to the St. Louis Blues.

Shaw was also fined $5,000 for “directing an inappropriate gesture” at the on-ice officials. He will miss Game 5 in St. Louis on Thursday when the Blues, who are up 3-1 in the series, will try to knock the defending Stanley Cup champions out of the playoffs.

Andrew Shaw had a minor brain fart Tuesday night.

During the waning minutes of Chicago’s game 4 loss to the St. Louis Blues, the Blackhawks winger was penalized for interference, and on his way to the gate, he graciously saluted the referees.

He also sent them a special message from the box. (“Fuck You, Fucking Faggot”)

“Emotions are high. I don’t know what’s said,” Shaw said of his behavior after the game. “I was obviously upset with the call, being late in game. It doesn’t give us a chance to tie it up.”

The NHL has not commented on the incident, despite public pressure from LBGT interest groups.
