FINALLY! New Bill Would Strip Scholarships From College Athletes Who Hold Universities Hostage With Strikes

IT’S ABOUT FUCKING TIME!
Stupid coddled college athletes who are given scholarships to play a sport, and then strike to hold the university hostage, do not deserve the scholarship money that they would have received if they protested on their own time, and continued to play their sport.

Athletes like the racist pieces of shit at the University of Missouri, Columbia, who boycotted all football activities over a complete and total lie, should have immediately been dropped from the scholarship program, and from the football team as well, but the so-called “leaders” at Mizzou are too fucking dumb and weak to stand up for the truth.

One racist dick started the whole racial mess at Mizzou with a complete lie, and luckily the whole thing was actually caught on camera, and shows conclusively that the car carrying the University’s president, Tim Wolf, never touched the worthless black racist asshole Jonathan Butler, and if Jonathan Butler wanted to kill himself over a racist lie that he created, then he should have been allowed to do so.

I say, if student athletes want to protest something, they can do so without causing harm to the university who is basically paying them with scholarship money to play a sport. If these racist assholes want to harm the university, as the Mizzou athletes obviously did, then they have no place at the university, or being supported to not play.

A Missouri lawmaker is throwing a penalty flag in hopes of punishing college athletes who strike.

Rep. Rick Brattin, a Republican from Harrisonville, pre-filed the bill for the upcoming session of the Missouri Legislature. It’s in direct response to last month’s protests at the University of Missouri last month.

Football players who were supporting a student activist’s hunger strike threatened not to play until the issue was resolved. The hunger strike ended three days later, but players said they were willing to miss the following Saturday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium.

The dispute also led to the resignation of the University system’s president and the chancellor of the Columbia campus.

“I think it’s ridiculous that I even have to file a bill like this,” Brattin said.

Brattin’s bill would strip college athletes of their scholarships if they refused to play in a game for any reason other than health issues. Under the bill, coaches who support any athlete strikes would be fined.

“These students could have went to call the protests and peacefully demonstrated their First Amendment right, but when they take it to another level where they are literally holding an entire football organization and school hostage by their actions, that’s where it takes it to a different level,” Brattin said.

Missouri Rep. Jeremy LaFaver said the bill was disappointing but not surprising.

“I can’t believe someone is blatantly saying if you exercise your First Amendment rights, we are going to take money away from you,” said LaFaver, a Kansas City Democrat.

“This is an example of government overreach as well as an attempt at revenge because the sponsor disagrees with MU’s actions,” said Missouri Rep. Lauren Arthur, a Clay County Democrat. “This amounts to an unnecessary government mandate, one that signals the representative’s intolerance of freedom of expression.”

Former Missouri football player Lucas Vincent said in a series of tweets that the legislation sends a message to athletes.

“Run fast, jump high, hit hard, score touchdowns and shut up,” he said

Vincent said, like everything else in the country, the issue comes down to money.

“I hope the school steps up and starts acting like a school,” Brattin said. “I think a coaching staff needs to act like coaches and make sure that players play to the best of their ability and don’t get involved in this type of behavior.”

Lawmakers will consider Brattin’s bill when the Missouri Legislature opens its new session next month.
