This is funny! NBC actually went as far as to hire a “psychological consultant”, otherwise known as a “Shrink”, to try and figure out what the problem is with David Gregory.
I can tell you exactly what David Gregory’s problem is, and I can also tell you exactly why ‘Meet the Press’ went from First to Worst under Gregory.
The answer to both questions is that David Gregory is a liberal piece of crap that adheres to the standards setup by NBC, which is “Protect Obama and the Democrats at all costs”. Tim Russert was, for the most part, a fair and balanced host, while David Gregory is not.
No wonder why NBC can’t see the problem. NBC is the most corrupt and most liberal news outlet (Obama Media Arm), and it’s understandable that a corrupt liberal may not be able to see other corrupt liberals for what they are.
I don’t think it will be very long before NBC pulls the plug on David Gregory. ‘Meet the Press is the longest-running TV program in American history, so I doubt they’re going to stop producing ‘Meet the Press’, so in order to save the show they will find a new host. Unfortunately, any host the NBC executives come up with will probably be just as liberal and wrong for ‘Meet the Press’ as David Gregory.
If NBC doesn’t do something fast to de-liberalize the show, ‘Meet the Press’ will die a quick death.
Personally, I used to watch ‘Meet the Press’ every Sunday, and rarely missed the show. That was up until David Gregory took over after Tim Russert passed away. Since David Gregory has taken over, I have tried to continue watching the show, but I have honestly not been able to make it through a full ‘Meet the Press’ show without turning it off, due to it’s liberal leanings.
NBC has been so alarmed at Meet the Press’s decline, the network hired a “psychological consultant” to assess the host, David Gregory. The Washington Post reports:
Last year, the network undertook an unusual assessment of the 43-year-old journalist, commissioning a psychological consultant to interview his friends and even his wife. The idea, according to a network spokeswoman, Meghan Pianta, was “to get perspective and insight from people who know him best.” But the research project struck some at NBC as odd, given that Gregory has been employed there for nearly 20 years.
Around the same time, the network appointed a new executive producer at “MTP,” Rob Yarin, a veteran media consultant. Yarin, who had worked with Gregory on an MSNBC show, “Race for the White House,” during the 2008 campaign, succeeded Betsy Fischer Martin, who reigned over “MTP” for 11 years. Fischer Martin had helped Russert soar to glory, but had disagreed with Gregory over matters of style and substance (she was promoted to oversee all of NBC’s political coverage).
