Before the St Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers stepped on the field, just about every single so-called “expert” said that Clayton Kershaw would beat the St Louis Cardinals in game one of the NLDS, and they all have picked the Los Angeles Dodgers to beat the Cardinals in the best of 5 series.
That’s fine, who cares about what they think. They all probably lose their asses at the track or the casino also, just like they are wrong about baseball.
During the entire game though, the MLB Network commentators talked up the Dodgers, like they were the home-team announcers for a baseball machine that couldn’t be beat. Then the same idiots turned around and dogged the Cardinals who weren’t hitting at that point.
During a big 7th inning where the Cardinals scored 8 runs, Harold Reynolds created a conspiracy theory that the Cardinals ware stealing signs from 2nd base.
One jackoff MLB Network commentator even said something like “The Cardinals are well renowned for stealing signs from the catcher and relaying them to the hitter”. Where is the proof of that baseless claim? There is none because it doesn’t happen – and even if it did, it is not against the rules, so the dick-noses at the MLB Network need get a fucking life and talk about something that actually matters.
Immediately after the end of the game, Brian Kenny and another jackass on the MLB Network jumped on Harold Reynolds’ brain fart of almost accusing the St Louis Cardinals of stealing the pitcher’s signs and relaying them to the hitter.
To put icing on the shitpile, instead of interviewing Matt Holliday about his game-changing home run, or the big comeback, the MLB Network had bow-tie-wearing shithead Ken Rosenthal asked Matt about stealing signs from the pitcher. You could tell Holliday was pissed off with such a stupid question, after a big win that he was a major part of.
After all, the so-called baseball “experts” all said that Kershaw would beat the Cardinals because he is so superior to the Cardinals’ hitters, so if the Cardinals were able to hit Kershaw, there must be a nefarious reason. Right?
That’s complete bullshit. I think the MLB Network idiots just need a conspiracy to cover up their stupidity. They pull the same shit every year.
Mike Lowell seems to be the only MLB Network commentator I’ve seen so far who doesn’t have his head stuck up he Dodgers’ ass.
Personally, I think these idiots on the MLB Network don’t really know crap about baseball. Some of them may be former players, but it seems that they are mostly just bandwagon idiots who are obviously blinded by the dollars that the Dodgers throw around. Maybe because some of that Dodgers money also goes to idiots in the media to attack their opponents on national TV? Talk about a conspiracy?!?
Too bad the game wasn’t on TBS, because the TBS coverage of the MLB Playoffs is hands down the best of any network, and makes the MLB Network coverage look antiquated, tired and pretty down right crappy!
