Bill Maher should be fired for using the term “House Nigger” on his program, and HBO should be fined by the Federal Communications Commission.

HBO, who allowed the racial slur to be aired, came out with a statement about the “completely inexcusable and tasteless” use of the racist phrase, but HBO will not be punnishing the racist Bill Maher, and will only remove the racist comment from future showings of the program. (mostly to protect themselves)

“Bill Maher’s comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless. We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.”

Bill Maher needs to be fired by HBO for the racist slur Maher used on his program, and the Federal Communications Commission needs to heavily fine HBO for allowing Bill Maher’s racist slur on the air.

During a Friday HBO “Real Time” conversation with Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE), host Bill Maher joked that he is not a “house n**ga” when the senator suggested he come work in the fields of Nebraska.

MAHER: Halloween used to be a kid thing.

SASSE: It’s not anymore?

MAHER: Not out here. Adults dress up for Halloween. They don’t do that in Nebraska?

SASSE: It’s frowned upon. Yeah, we don’t do that quite as much.

MAHER: I’ve got to get to Nebraska more.

SASSE: You’re welcome. We’d love to have you work in the fields for us.

MAHER: Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house nigga [applause]. It’s a joke!
