WOW!! Newt Gingrich completely beat down the former Labor Secretary Robert Reich on the ‘This Week With George Stephanopoulos’ program.
When former Labor Secretary Robert Reich said that it’s the fault of the Republicans that the “War on Poverty” isn’t doing better, Newt shot back with the best fact, and one that no Democrats want the American People to know about.
Unfortunately YouTube has removed these videos from their platform to hide the truth from the American People. Another coverup with the help of Google/YouTube.
‘Every Major City Which Is A Center Of Poverty Is Run By Democrats’
So the next time you hear someone talking about Republicans being the cause of poverty, you can tell them the fact that Democrats have been running the country into the ground for decades, that anytime you see a city in poverty, it will always be run by a “Slum Lord” Democrat.
Wow. We haven’t seen this side of Newt Gingrich since the Republican primary debates of last year.
We say that it’s long overdue.
Today on This Week With George Stephanopoulos (he was missing today), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on the weekly panel to discuss a variety of issues. One of those issues was the Pope’s recent statements on the subject of income inequality. That came up because the nearly non-existent Time Magazine named the Pope its “Man Of The Year”.
Specifically, Gingrich was asked about income inequality in New York City and if Republicans should be talking about it.
“Absolutely,” Gingrich replied. “I mean, how can you justify the level of wealth in those big towers in New York City and the level of poverty in those alleys. And, without talking about government, say ‘Surely a society that believes that every person who was endowed by their Creator with the right to pursue happiness, would come up with a better solution than 22,000 children that are homeless.’”
Gingrich went on to say that, after 50 years of the so-called “War on Paverty”, government hasn’t done a very good job. That didn’t sit too well with other (read: liberal) members of the panel, including Bill Clinton’s former Labor Secretary Robert Reich.
Reich, unsurprisingly, rattled off a bunch of left-wing talking points before getting to his awfully predictable conclusion: it’s the fault of the Republicans that the “War on Poverty” isn’t doing better.
“This is baloney,” Gingrich replied. “Every major city which is a center of poverty is run by Democrats. Every major city.”
Ouch!
