I hope Tom Brady and the Patriots take the NFL to court, thought I really don’t think it will happen.

Cheaters Tom Brady & Patriots May Threaten But Will Not Take NFL to Court

I want Tom Brady and the Patriots take the NFL to court, not because I think the Patriots would win, but just the opposite. I think taking the NFL to court would be the worst thing for the Patriots, and especially for Brady and whats left of his NFL legacy.

This is because the discovery phase of the court case will allow the NFL investigators to get a hold of Brady’s phone, which, unless it has been destroyed, contains all of the information that proves he is guilty of cheating in NFL games. This is also the same reason why Brady would not allow NFL investigators to get deflategate related emails and texts from the phone. He knows he is a cheater, but without the details of the phone, it’s never going to be enough proof for some people.

My thought is that, unless Brady and the Patriots pulled a Clinton, and destroyed the phone containing the incriminating texts and emails, the Patriots will fight the punishment all the way up to going to court, and then stop short of actually taking the NFL to court. They definitely don’t want to hand over that phone!

I also feel like the reason why NFL commissioner Roger Goodell gave Tom Brady the 4 game suspension, and then announced that he would be handling the appeal of the punishment, is because Goodell already had this whole thing worked out in his head and he needs to preside over the appeal to make sure it end up like he planned.

Goodell probably only really wants Brady to serve a 2 game suspension, and knows that they would be able to have the 4 games reduced to 2 games, or no games. This is why he initially went for 4 game suspension.

Here is what I think will go down.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will listen to all of the Patriot’s excuses and lies, and then drop two of the games from Brady’s suspension, getting back to the 2 games he really wanted from the start. Diabolical!

No matter what happens with To Brady’s suspension, I believe his legacy in the NFL is badly damaged, to the point of hurting his chances to go into the NFL Hall of Fame. Cheaters shouldn’t get in to the Hall of Fame in any sport.
