Wow! California police officer Charlie Blount, apparently from the Sebastopol Police Department, belongs in prison after killing David Ward by slamming his head into the door of his car, along with the use of a taser and chokehold. Chokeholds are usually illegal to use by the police.
Even if the man was the actual carjacker, instead of the carjacking victim that he was, slamming someone’s head that hard, and causing the person to die, is a crime that demands justice.
Go to 3:30 in the video above to see the piece of shit officer slam the man’s head into the car, which was so violent and wrong that iyt probably would have killed most people, or at the very least would have had some very serious medical problems for the rest of their lives.
Even after being told that the man he just killed was the victim, and not the carjacking criminal, the piece of shit officer Blount apparently just said “Oh well”, because he didn’t care that he just murdered a man for no reason, and believes that he will be protected by his job title and his badge.
Deputy Jax: “This is, this is the owner of this car. That’s David Ward. He’s the victim, he’s the victim of the 215 (carjacking).”
Former Officer Blount: “Oh Well”
David Ward already appeared dead, and was lifeless, but the piece of shit criminal police officer thought it might help his eventual murder case if he made it seem that Ward was still alive after slamming his head and choking him to death, so yelled at Ward to “stop moving”, though it was clear from the video that he definitely was not moving, and was either unconscious or very dead.
Even when former officer Blount told the other officers to start CPR, he already knew that Ward was dead, saying “it can’t hurt” to start CPR, but knows that it very well may hurt the officers if they don’t start CPR.
I hope the family of David Ward wins a huge lawsuit for the murder by the police.
The Sonoma County Sheriff announced on Friday that he intends to fire a deputy seen on body worn camera slamming a Petaluma man’s head into a car while he was simultaneously being Tased because authorities thought he was driving a stolen green Honda, which in the end, turned out to be his.
“The entire situation is extremely troubling,” Sheriff Mark Essick said. He said that if viewers were concerned at the way Deputy Charlie Blount handled the situation regarding David Ward, who died after the police interaction on Nov. 27, so was he.
As a result, Essick said he served Blount a notice of termination. Blount has been on administrative leave since Ward’s death and he will remain on leave until the investigation is complete and the appeals process is over.
Essick made his statements on a department video, showing for the first time what transpired that day. In an interview, Essick elaborated that he did not feel Essick tried to de-escalate the situation.
The man whose head was slammed, David Ward, 52, ended up dying. Authorities realized minutes after Ward was struck and stunned that the car belonged to him. Essick added that his department released the video to be transparent and to show what happens, “good or bad.” In addition to the edited version released on the department’s YouTube page, the sheriff also released 45 minutes of separate raw body camera footage to this news organization following a public records request based on two new California police transparency laws, SB 1421 and AB 748.
Ward’s mother, Ernie Ward, 85, told KTVU she had not watched the video but knew about Blount.
“I think that was good,” she said. “He needs to be fired.”
