We read that LaPlaca was also arrested on assault charges back in 2023. In my eyes, the only thing that Gina LaPlaca has going for her is that she didn’t try and use her position as Mayor to get out of the initial interaction with the police, even while being arrested. That is commendable, and also very rare when democrats who hold positions of power get pulled over.
