Oh No! The NAACP doesn’t like the criticism of the stupid racist skank mayor of Baltimore, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
What are they going to do? Call the police racists? Been there – Done that. That is all the NAACP does.
The NAACP doesn’t stand up for Black people. No, they sit back and do nothing while more and more of the people they say they are there to help are turning to welfare and a life of crime, because the Democrats have locked them into a lifetime of slavery for their Democrat slavemasters, where Blacks trade their votes for food stamps and Obama phones, and other free Obama schwag.
Honestly, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake deserves every bit of the attacks coming her way, and them some, so bring it on!
The Baltimore chapter of the NAACP will not stand by and allow the Baltimore PD to criticize the city’s African American mayor, calling the police union’s rhetoric not only “distasteful and disrespectful” but “borderline racist.”
The crime situation in Baltimore has been devolving since social justice advocate Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby threw the book at six officers for what she alleges was the “illegal” arrest and “homicide” of repeat-offender Freddie Gray.
Since the riots and the charges, violence in the city has surged dramatically, with 31 killed in an month and another 39 wounded by gunfire and the year’s homicide rate having leapt up from last year. As TruthRevolt reported earlier this week, many on the ground are pointing to a noticeable absence of officers in troubled areas as a reason for the wave of violence, with officers admitting that the charges brought by Mosby (which many perceive as a dramatic overreach to satisfy social justice activists) serving as an obvious deterrent.
The police union has voiced concerns over the handling of the situation, not only by the contentious (and unprofessional) young state’s attorney, but by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. But, as the Baltimore Sun reports, the NAACP is increasingly inserting itself into the conflict between the police and the mayor.
In a letter Monday, the Baltimore NAACP came to the defense of Rawlings-Blake, writing, “It bothers us greatly to have the integrity of these strong African-American female leaders questioned by someone who has never served a day in elective office, and yet is pushing a personal agenda in the face of clear injustice, regardless of the possible irreparable harm it may have on our city in the long run—especially during this time of extreme peril in our city.”
The civil rights organization has launched its own campaign for peace on the streets, including the #BmoreCIVIL hashtag campaign and hosting a “Stop the Violence ‘By Any Means Necessary’ rally” Tuesday (the 90th birthday of Malcolm X).
The Baltimore Sun notes another anti-violence campaign started by a founder of the 300 Men March, Munir Bahar. He’s calling for 30 men in 10 crime-plagued neighborhoods to “Occupy Our Corners” and to train others to help fight crime.
Munir Bahar, one of the founders of the 300 Men March, is calling for 30 men in 10 Baltimore neighborhoods to become block leaders in the crime fight. He said his group plans to train new volunteers and will hold an “Occupy Our Corners” anti-violence rally on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the police cite an uptick in gang disputes as one of the possible reasons the situation has grown dimmer in the city.
