Arkansas Police Get Punished For Correctly Doing Their Jobs While Arresting Former State Sen. Bill Walker

Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. and Chief Heath Helton of the Little Rock Police Department appear to both be corrupt, and there needs to be an investigation into this situation.

Little Rock officers (including Officer Austin Kurcz / Kurcz) pulled over Alyson Walker (daughter of former Arkansas state legislator/businessman William “Bill” Walker Jr.) for a traffic violation involving a suspended license. She reportedly ignored the officer and walked into a business property owned by her father.

Officers decided to tow the vehicle (a blue car seen in the footage) because of the suspended license. The car was on Walker’s business property.

Bill Walker and his wife came out. Walker wanted to retrieve his daughter’s purse from the car before it was towed and argued that it was his property. Officers said they needed to search/inventory the vehicle first and told Walker and others to step back. The situation escalated due to Walker’s inability/refusal to follow the lawful orders of the Little Rock police officers, and was handcuffed.

Someone contacted Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., who in turn contacted Chief Heath Helton, who was then heard on the phone ordering the officers to release Walker immediately (“Take him out of cuffs immediately”) and leave the car with him.

Walker was uncuffed and released without charges, and now Chief Heath Helton is punishing his officers, who were forced to arrest former Arkansas state senator Bill Walker after he showed up on the scene and started interfering in a legitimate traffic stop, because Walker KNEW he would get special treatment.

This is corruption that needs to be investigated, and handled correctly.
