Stephen A. Smith Says That “Every Black Person in America Should Vote Republican”

You know, there have been a few times in the past when I have been in disagreement with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith on some of his views on sports, but I completely, 100%, agree with him on his political statement regarding Blacks and voting.

I absolutely love Stephen A. Smith’s statements to the Impact Symposium at Vanderbilt University though, where he says “What I dream is that for one election, just one, every black person in America vote Republican”, and correctly states the Black community’s confusion about the racist history of the Democrat party.

Stephen A. Smith went on to say:
“from what I’ve read, and I’m open to correction, but from what I’ve read, Barry Goldwater is going against Lyndon B. Johnson. He’s your Republican candidate. He is completely against the Civil Rights Movement. Lyndon B. Johnson was in favor of it. What happens is, he wins office, Barry Goldwater loses office, but there was a senate, a Republican senate, that pushed the votes to the president’s desk. It was the Democrats who were against Civil Rights legislation. So …

We think that the Redskins players Brandon Meriweather and DeAngelo Hall, as well as Stephen A. Smith, and every player who ran out on the football field with their hands raised are reckless, and are part of the problem, not the solution.

We also think that most of the reporting these players have heard about Michael Brown is fake. The CBS story “Redskins Run Onto Field Before Game with Hands Up for Michael Brown” that we read even says the following, which is 90% untrue.

Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Witnesses have said he was not aggressive toward the officer and had his hands raised above his head before he was shot. As a result, the words “hands up, don’t shoot” have become a
