Compare Obama 2008 Record to Obama 2012, Not Future Romney

Thomas Sowell writes a great article in which he compares Obama’s campaign promises (lies) that got him elected to what Obama has actually done in his 4 years in office.

Compare Obama 2008’s Record to Obama 2012, Not Romney

He is right when he says to compare Obama 2008 to Obama 2012, and you will see that this president is a complete failure, who doesn’t deserve another 4 years in office to continue driving our economy into the ground, while making his friends and supporters very rich.

Many voters will be comparing Mitt Romney with Barack Obama between now and election day. But what might be even more revealing would be comparing Obama with Obama. There is a big contrast between Obama based on his rhetoric (“Obama 1”) and Obama based on his record (“Obama 2”).

For example, during the 2008 election campaign, Obama 1 spoke of “opening up and creating more transparency in government,” so that government spending plans would be posted on the Internet for days before they passed into legislation. After he was elected president, Obama said,

Wrong-Way Obama: Unemployment Numbers Increase in 44 of 50 States

The nation is going the wrong direction, and to get things turned around we will need new (Conservative – Tea Party) leadership, both in the senate and the White House.

If Obama would have spent the stimulus money creating jobs and helping businesses, instead of paying-off his friends, supporters, and cronies, our economy and Obama’s re-election efforts would be in much better shape now, but we continue seeing the effects of Obama’s incompetence and corruption on our economy, which last month saw 44 of 50 states unemployment rates go up.

Unemployment rates rose in 44 U.S. states in July, the most states to show a monthly increase in more than three years and a reflection of weak hiring nationwide.

The Labor Department says unemployment rates fell in only two states and were unchanged in four.

Unemployment rates rose in nine states that are considered battlegrounds in the presidential election. That trend, if it continued, could pose a threat to President Obama’s re-election bid in less than three months.

Nationwide, hiring

Charles Krauthammer: ‘Call Obama’s bluff’

Charles Krauthammer is, by far, the smartest political mind in the media today, and he hits the nail right on the head in his new piece titled “Call Obama’s bluff”.

Mr Krauthammer goes after Obama’s assertion that he would not sign any deal less than 120 days, but has no plan of his own to deal with entitlements and the current Obama budget crunch.

I agree with Mr Krauthammer ! The GOP should pass their budget plan in the House and then wait and see what happens in the Senate. If it fails there, blame will be mainly placed at the feet of the Democrats.

President Obama is demanding a big long-term budget deal. He won’t sign anything less, he warns, asking, “If not now, when?”

How about last December, when he ignored his own debt commission’s recommendations? How about February, when he presented a budget that increases debt by $10 trillion over the next decade? How about April, when he sought a debt-ceiling increase with zero debt reduction attached?

All of a sudden he’s a born-again budget balancer
