Time For a Complete SNL Overhaul – Back to Being Funny

I think it’s a good thing for Saturday Night Live to get rid of some of their more well-known performers.

This could be a good chance for SNL to get back to being funny – something we haven’t seen in many years.

The over-the-top conservative bashing political show openings and skits have turned off half of the show’s former viewers, and the unapologetic liberal cast has made the show all but unwatchable.

SNL needs to drop the political crap, and get back to doing the type of hilarious skits that we enjoyed from John Belushi, Eddie Murphy, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler and others.

Maybe losing some of the tired unfunny liberal jackasses who are leaving might make room for some actual funny writers.

We’re not holding our breath.

It hasn’t exactly been a smooth year for NBC. And now it may get even rougher.

Finally George Zimmermann files a lawsuit against corrupt and near-dead NBC for their early-on editing of the 911 tape to try and make Zimmermann SEEM like a racist who killed Trayvon Martin in cold blood because he was black. An NBC lie that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

We hope that George Zimmermann takes enough money from NBC that it breaks their back, and the channel goes under. They deserve that and so much more.

In March, NewsBusters broke the story about NBC’s Today show airing an edited audiotape of George Zimmerman’s 911 call the day he shot Trayvon Martin in Florida.

On Thursday, the New York Post reported Zimmerman is suing the Peacock Network.

According to the Post, the complaint will be filed against NBC News President Steve Capus and correspondent Ron Allen who was the Today reporter involved in the March 27 broadcast.

A source told the Post, “The suit will be filed imminently against NBC and its news executives.
