Another week, another person with NFL ties accused of a horrible crime.
Dana Stubblefield, a former San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle, has been arrested and charged with the violent crime of raping a “developmentally delayed” California woman, and was released on $250,000 bail.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office said Dana Stubblefield assaulted the woman on April 9, 2015 at his home after she interviewed for a babysitting job.
“This was a crime of violence against a vulnerable victim. She was looking for a job and she was unconscionably assaulted.” – Deputy District Attorney Tim McInerny
After allegedly raping the woman, it has been reported that Stubblefield gave her $80 and sent her on her way. The woman immediately reported the rape at the Morgan Hill Police Department and the report said DNA evidence matched Stubblefield.
We don’t know if Stubblefield is guilty or not, but criminal NFL players being arrested seems to have become an all-too-common occurrence, and just about every week we read another story about an NFL player, or in this case an ex NFL football …
