“We immediately acknowledged that it was offensive and wrong, apologized, and deleted it. We have dismissed the person responsible for the tweet. I personally apologize to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended. At MSNBC we believe in passionate, strong debate about the issues and we invite voices from all sides to participate. That will never change.”

How do we know that someone actually was let go from MSNBC due to the racist tweet attacking conservatives, if MSNBC won’t tell us who it was that MSNBC fired?

I have a strong feeling that MSNBC didn’t fire anyone because the person who wrote the racist tweet was probably an MSNBC boss. Otherwise, how would someone at MSNBC see the tweet and delete it so fast? The MSNBC employee who wrote the racist tweet is most likely the same person who realized that the tweet was offensive enough to cause their network problems, and the same person who deleted the message as well.

That apology is not good enough Mr. Griffin. Try again.

MSNBC has fired the employ who sent out a controversial Tweet involving a Cheerios commercial that features a biracial family.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, MSNBC president Phil Griffin called the Tweet “outrageous and unacceptable.”

“We immediately acknowledged that it was offensive and wrong, apologized, and deleted it,” the statement continued. “We have dismissed the person responsible for the tweet.

I personally apologize to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended. At MSNBC we believe in passionate, strong debate about the issues and we invite voices from all sides to participate. That will never change.”
