We think that the Redskins players Brandon Meriweather and DeAngelo Hall, as well as Stephen A. Smith, and every player who ran out on the football field with their hands raised are reckless, and are part of the problem, not the solution.

We also think that most of the reporting these players have heard about Michael Brown is fake. The CBS story “Redskins Run Onto Field Before Game with Hands Up for Michael Brown” that we read even says the following, which is 90% untrue.

Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Witnesses have said he was not aggressive toward the officer and had his hands raised above his head before he was shot. As a result, the words “hands up, don’t shoot” have become a rallying cry of protesters, both in Ferguson and online.

1) “unarmed 18-year-old” – Michael Brown definitely was armed. This was a 6’ 4”, 300-pound man, who’s fists could easily be deadly weapons in a fight – especially with someone less than half his size. Officer Wilson suffered facial fractures, including a broken eye socket in the beating he took from Mr. Brown, and if Brown was not shot, he very well may have killed the officer.

2) “hands raised above his head” – Even the witnesses for the Brown family have said that he didn’t actually have his hands up. Their witnesses say that Mr. Brown may have just started moving them up when he was shot and killed, but they were not up above his head, like the protesters and Brown’s family want you to believe.

3) “not aggressive toward the officer” – This is complete bullcrap. Most witnesses say that Mr. Brown actually WAS very aggressive towards Officer Wilson, and that aggressiveness and violence is the reason why he was shot. Police sources say more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated officer Wilson’s version of how the shooting took place.
